Enclosed is FinderAppMenu, version 1.1. According to Paul Hyman, the author, the original submission to the Info-Mac archives was version 1.0, and had known bugs. I have tested version 1.1 on my Mac LCII, and Mac IIsi machines, and find no bugs. It seems to work well with virtual memory and 32-bit mode on. I have NOT tried on system 6.x, so can not comment on its compatibility there. I have a friend with a Mac LCII who is still having problems with version 1.1, but feel that it is worth submitting this version anyway. It is a definite improvement over 1.0.
If you are familiar with ResEdit, and want to cause FinderAppMenu to ignore any particular applications or disk volumes, there are two STR# resources you can edit to do so. Just open a copy of FinderAppMenu 1.1 with ResEdit, then open the STR# resource and you will see two resources with titles, which are self evident. When you are done editing the contents of these two resources, be sure to save your changes.
I have found FinderAppMenu to be quite useful, and hope you do also. Thanks to Paul Hyman for making this utility freely available! If you wish to communicate with Paul about this utility, his address is:
